The nominees have been announced for the inaugural Electronic Music
Awards, which will take place in Lost Angeles on 18 April. There's
too many to list here but the 'DJ Of The Year' nominees are Carl Cox,
Diplo, Dixon, DJ Harvey and Skrillex.
2.
J Dilla's 'lost' vocal album The Diary is finally getting released
after a protracted legal tussle between his estate and MCA Records.
The album, which features contributions from Snoop Dogg, Madlib and
Pete Rock, will be out through PayJay/Mass Appeal on 15 April

The second wave of artists have been announced for this year's Ultra
Music Festival, which takes place in Miami on 18-20 March. New
additions to the line-up include Richie Hawtin, Deadmau5, Crystal
Castles, Steve Angello and Tiesto.

Speaking of Richie Hawtin, he's also been announced today as the
headliner for Ushuaia Ibiza's opening party. Joris Voorn,
Guy Gerber, Maya Jane Coles and Hot Since 82 are among the other
DJs who'll be kicking off the Ushuaia season on 28 May.

A whole raft of unheard instrumentals by grime star Terror Danjah,
dating back to 2002/3, have been released as an 11-track album
entitled Lost Mini Discs. It's out today via Bandcamp.

Former Red Hot Chili Peppers guitarist John Frusciante has recorded
an EP inspired by “acid, jungle and footwork”. The Foregrow EP
will be out on Acid Test on 16 April.

Venue-hopping London party crew LWE have announced that Andhim will
be their 'residents' for their next six parties. LWE's Will Harold
said the German duo are “ideal frontmen for our new series”.

Rinse FM return to Ministry Of Sound next Saturday (27 February),
with Finnebassen, German Brigante, Denney, Cristoph and William Kouam
Djoko in The Box and Tom Shorterz, Sam Supplier and Murr in the bar.

Cocoon, meanwhile, take over London's Studio 338 on 12 March. Mathew
Jonson will headline with a live set, supported by Tim Green, Sascha
Dive and Einzelkind.

UK label No Fit State have just launched a podcast series called
LIVE, which will feature only live-recorded club sets from label boss
Geddes and chums.
