The set will be broadcast from Brighton's British Airways i360 tower on Saturday
Drum & bass crew The Prototypes will be playing a livestreamed DJ set in aid of mental health charity MIND this Saturday (10 October), to mark World Mental Health Day. The 90-minute set begins at 8pm, and will be broadcast from the British Airways i360 tower in Brighton.
Announcing the project, The Prototypes – Nick White and Chris Garvey – said:
“At 8pm on 10 October – World Mental Health Day – we’ll be boarding the British Airways i360 and elevating to 400 feet above our hometown Brighton to bring you 'Legacy' - a 90-minute DJ set of all our own material to celebrate our 10th year in the drum & bass scene. We will be doing this to raise money for mental health charity MIND, who are helping people cope in this turbulent time and beyond. We can’t wait to show you what we have in store.”
The livestream follows a 24-hour livestreamed DJ marathon the duo did for D&BTV back in March, which raised over £14,000 for NHS Charities Together, and the release of recent single Quantum, which trails their soon-come (and rather aptly titled!) sophomore album Ten Thousand Feet High And Rising.
