2 Bit Thugs

Tracks come from Lee Walker, Pete Dorling, Neil Parkes and Greeko

The Hot Creations A&R team must have the time of their lives if this is the quality of tracks that they receive on a regular basis! These four tracks from fledgling producers pack a serious punch and could trade blows with the heavyweights on any given dancefloor.

First up is Lee Walker from Middlesbrough, who rose to fame in 2015 when his edit of DJ Deeon’s Freak Like Me gathered over a million YouTube hits and made it onto Defected. He now proves that he's match fit with a stormer of a track entitled That Little Ditty that sports punching stabs, a solid bassline and tizzy hi-hats. The second track, Manyana, is a return to the label for Essex-based DJ/producer Pete Dorling, who delivers some serious blows with his Spanish vocal samples, soaring synths and a tight bottom-end that's guaranteed to groove any dancefloor.

Round three belongs to Neil Parkes, who first appeared on the label on the 2014 Hot Summer Jams EP. He now returns with a tech monster called Peil Narkes which features subtle acid, a rubbery bassline and unnerving sounds that keep you guessing. Rounding off the package nicely is an Italian import, Greeko, who's previously delivered some healthy salvos on such esteemed labels as Yuma Recordings and Noir Music, and who here serves up a dubby, acidic track entitled Magma which, like the substance itself, is hot, relentless unforgiving.

If you're after something a little different but packed with hard-hitting house grooves that will go the distance, this is one EP that’s well worth trading blows with!
