Tracks on the label's debut release come from Bias, Atypikal and Side Liner

What we have here is the first ever release from brand new Greek label Koslif. Based in Athens, Koslif is the more techno-oriented sub-label of ambient imprint Cosmicleaf Records, who've chalked up a string of over 250 releases over the past 15 years.

"Deep, hypnotic techno" is actually the hype sheet's description of this debut three-track V/A EP, but for once it's one that's hard to find fault with! Bias's River Blood is an understated affair with rolling beats, sci-fi stabs, layers of noise and a hazy, trippy kinda feel. Thyamis from Atypikal veers more towards deep prog, while completing the EP is Side Liner's A Dot In Noise, which is somewhat livelier and a touch, dare I say it, funkier while still sticking to the "deep and hypnotic" ethos of the EP overall. And all three will suit fans of the genre down to the ground.

On this evidence, Koslif looks like it could be a label that's worth keeping an eye on...
