A host of label regulars line up to remix the young German producer's original

Rising German producer Domenik Toefflinger makes his debut for Spain's Sinnmusik* label, serving up three originals while no fewer than four Sinnmusik* regulars remix the title track.

The Original Mix of I Wanna (Be Right There) is up first, a smooth deep house groover with pads to die for that, as some of you may have already guessed, is based loosely around the Ronnie Laws/Incognito ft Jocelyn Brown classic Always There, also sampled heavily by Brothers In Rhythm's Such A Good Feeling in the rave era. Four remixes then cater for a range of tastes: Georgi Barrel brings the steppy UKG vibes, Trepid take us into space-y, post-club territory and Fewture & Freddie Glitch pump things up a bit for the tech-house floors, while &On&On stay pretty faithful to the original but add some ker-razy synth squelch of their own towards the end. The package is then completed by two more Toefflinger originals: the upbeat Alright, which rocks a different vocal bite from Always There, old skool pianos and some absolutely killer organ work, and Can't Stop, which again has vintage-style pianos but with more of dreamy, laidback, Balearic feel.

I'd probably reach for Alright first, followed by the Georgi Barrel rub of I Wanna, but that's a very subjective viewpoint and the truth is that the three originals and all four remixes are all eminently playable, making this a very strong house package.
