Legendary nights Nude, Hot and Flesh will all be represented
Okay, don't get it twisted: no-one's actually rebuilding The Hacienda. But at London's Tobacco Dock on 2 April, you'll at least get a chance to relive the spirit of Manchester's most famous discotheque, as LWE present a tribute that will pay homage to three of the club's most famous nights.
Mike Pickering's Nude – the original Hacienda house and techno night – will be taking care of business in Tobacco Dock's Great Gallery. In the Car Park, you'll hear the tunes that rocked 1988 acid house party Hot, while finally on The Terrace, legendary Manchester promotor Paul Cons will be reviving Flesh, The Hacienda's long-running mixed/gay night.
The DJ line-up for the event has yet to be announced, but we're assured that it "matches the ambition of the event"… so expect to see some big names and, who knows, perhaps a few surprise returns from heroes of yesteryear?
The event runs from 12pm until 10.30pm (with no admission after 6pm) and tickets will be available for presale soon, price TBC. In the meantime, you can boost your chance of getting hold of some – bear in mind that this event is likely to sell out fast! – by registering your interest at the LWE Events website.
