The EP comes with four mixes to choose from
Hailing from Belarus, singer, DJ and producer Tania Haroshka has featured on previous Nang releases from Spanish nu-disco don Rayko. This time around, however, it's her turn in the driving seat - and the fruit of the pair's labours has 'summer chill-out favourite' written all over it.
There are four mixes of Time Is Now to choose from. The Original is a laidback, lazy, bassy groove topped with Haroshka's sensuous, jazzy vocal, with some surging synths adding a little more sense of urgency at the track progresses. There's an accompanying Instrumental, but you also get Rayko's slightly more beach house-ish Tropical Disco Remix, which adds some west coast-ish geetar and, towards the end, an euphoric synth line, with this mix also coming with an Instrumental pass of its own.
There's not a huge amount of difference between the four rubs so I'm not picking a favourite here, save to say that for me if you don't play that vocal you're missing a trick. Surely destined for mucho plays at Cafe Mambo and its many imitators, if you're a fan of the likes of Crazy P, Alice Russell's various projects or (fellow Nang outfit) Escort, you're gonna love this.
