'The Definitive 30' album includes cuts from Vega, Dope, Sanchez, Morillo, Tenaglia, Morales, Ferrer and more
Strictly Rhythm, undoubtedly one of THE all-time great US house labels, is 30 years old, and the label has just announced a series of special releases to mark the occasion.
Leading the charge will be a 30-track compilation called, simply enough, The Definitive 30, which will be out on 13 December. The album features tracks from the likes of Louie Vega, Kenny Dope, DJ Pierre, Roger Sanchez, Erick Morillo, Danny Tenaglia, Lil Louis, David Morales, Barbara Tucker, India, Osunlade and Dennis Ferrer.
On top of that, there will be a series of three doublepack 12-inch vinyl releases starting in January, as well as digital releases for 10 tracks that have only ever been available physically, including tracks from Kenny Dope and Todd Terry – look out for those on 13 December and 10 January.
