Things kick off in Newcastle on 22 September, and climax in Glasgow on 21 December
Dubstep don turned eclectic selector extraordinaire Skream has announced a 13-date club tour to take place this autumn and winter, which will see him sailing once more under the 'Open To Close' flag.
The tour begins at Digital in Newcastle on 22 September and ends at Glasgow's legendary Sub Club on 21 December, stopping along the way at nine other major UK and Irish cities as well as hopping over to Turin in Italy for a one-off show on 9 December.
As on his previous Open To Close and Skreamizm tours, you can expect to hear the Croydon lad known to the taxman as Oliver Jones dipping into a wide range of sounds on this trek. "The music policy can be anything from funk, to disco, to house or techno," he says. "Generally starting at about 100bpm and ending around 130bpm, but allowing the vibe inside the club and on the dancefloor to take me wherever it desires."
We're also told that Open To Close will be a deliberately stripped-back affair, with Skream saying it's "a conscious effort to resurrect the 'back to basics' element of club culture, forsaking elaborate, extravagant production for the eyes-down, music-focused selection of a pure clubbing experience."
