No word yet as to an opening date or line-ups, though
Following last year's closure of legendary Ibiza club Space, new owner and Ushuaïa boss Abel Matutes Jean had suggested the world-famous venue would retain its name when it reopened. That's clearly not the case, however, as today it was announced that the Playa Den Bossa club will reopen this summer under the name 'Hï Ibiza'.
There's no information yet as to exactly when that will happen, nor have any line-ups been announced. Instead, the press release issued today simply says that "the club will stay true to the open-minded spirit of Ibiza, bringing together music lovers to dance, discover and experience the magic of the White Isle," and that it "will showcase the most exciting names in electronic music throughout the summer, from the biggest stars in the scene to the leading lights of the underground, continuing the island’s legacy as the party capital of the world."
