The EP comes courtesy of new Dutch label Late Night Burners
Amsterdam-based label Late Night Burners are a new name to me... but I'm not going to be beat myself up about that too much, seeing as this is only the label's second release!
And what an introduction it is too, as label co-owner Roman Coskun serves up four superlative deep house instrumentals for your grooving pleasure. First up is Feels Like Forever, which is deep house after the classic Fingers/Trent/Damier fashion: all warm, muted kicks, lingering pads and borderline acidic synth squiggles. Sunwards comes next, and is in a similar vein but a little more late-night and bassy, after which Steps takes us into even more chilled-out, post-club territory - mournful trumpet and all! And then that just leaves Tales From The Reef, credited to Roman Coskun with 92SDO, which is an altogether more upbeat and bumpin' cut - albeit the listener/dancer is still very welcome to close their eyes and drift off into inner space...
An absolutely impeccable almost-debut - more soon, please!
