Man of the moment Max Chapman supplies the obligatory remix

A gathering of the clans here, as Steve Mac and Robert Chetcuti AKA Rhythm Masters join forces with Mutiny UK, made up of Rob Davy and Dylan Barnes, to release a single together on Origins Rcrds with a remix from tech-house luminary Max Chapman.

First up is the Original Mix, which starts with congas, crowd samples and a distinctly sun-drenched vibe and is quickly joined by a mellow, funky bassline and sci-fi sounds. Then the male spoken vocal kicks in, backed by lush pad sounds and funky guitar, and the message is one of positivity and far-outness which gives it a real poolside vibe.

This is followed by the Max Chapman Dub, which kicks off with syncopated drums and a deep booming bass sound and looped vocals in the distance, which come more into the mix as the track builds along with claps and other rhythmic noises that help push it ever forward in a deep, dubby style. Next up is the Dub, which is great for those of you who prefer your music without a full vocal, and also makes you notice the great sounds in play in the mix. Finally you have the Radio Edit, which cuts it down to a still-healthy 4:30 and is a great way to introduce a track to a wider audience.

Choosing a standout is a real battle here. Max Chapman’s mix wins for raw energy, but the Original has that super-slick summery vibe, so I’m not going to bother trying - check it out for yourself and see if you can pick a fave!
