The single's out next Friday, with a breaks remix by Cut La Roc
We've got another killer track exclusive for you today, as iDJ proudly premieres the Jimi Needles Remix of You Make Me Feel Like I Can Change The World by Soulnaturals ft Kylie Audist.
Based in London, Soulnaturals are a soul/funk revival outfit à la The Dap Kings, Lack Of Afro, Speedometer, The Haggis Horns etc, whose tracks have been widely supported by the likes of Craig Charles and Jazz FM. For this latest single, which trails their soon-come long-player Love Says Yes!, they're joined by Australian vocalist Kylie Auldist, with You Make Me Feel Like I Can Change The World in its original form being an upbeat soul stomper with a decidedly retro flavour.
Fine as it is, though, it's not the Original Mix we're here to talk about, but rather the liquid D&B refix from Jimi Needles [pictured]. Augmenting Auldist's vocal and the bass and brass of the original with fierce, rolling beats, Needles transforms You Make Me Feel Like I Can Change The World into a hi-octane scorcher that's sure to generate many a euphoric moment in festival D&B tents across the land this summer.
Completing the release when it drops on 17 February is a more midtempo breaks rub from Cut La Roc which is every bit as good as the other two, making this a track that could reach out to a wide range of floors. But for now, see what you make of Jimi's rub...
