Dutch veteran Orlando Voorn proves there's life in an old MLK sample yet…

Today's excellent track premiere comes to you courtesy of NICEPEOPLE, as iDJ proudly brings you a first listen to One Day, taken from Orlando Voorn's Positive Vibes EP, which is out tomorrow (10 April).

Orlando Voorn really shouldn't need much introduction by now: he's been a stalwart of The Netherlands' house and techno scenes since the early 90s, ever since he burst into our collective consciousness with 1992 scene anthem Flash. Since then he's worked frequently with US legends like Derrick May and Blake Baxter, helping to cement the link between two of techno's most important cities worldwide, Detroit and Amsterdam.

The Positive Vibes EP follows his recent success with Do That Jazz, and comprises four tracks. Elsewhere on the EP, Positive Vibes itself is a pacey, energetic house cut, Matta is a slightly deeper jam sporting Afro vox and Ghetto Techno takes us into tribal-tech territory. But right now we're showcasing the EP's mellowest cut One Day, which has a laidback, jazzy feel and features a full soulful male vocal as well as the Martin Luther King soundbite from which it takes its name.

One Day sounds like perfect outdoor summer tackle to us, but see what you think...
