Poker Flat needs YOU!

20th birthday remix competition announced

2020 May 12

Steve Bug, Tim Engelhardt and Hannes Bieger cuts are up for reworking

Hot on the heels of yesterday's announcement regarding a Repopulate Mars remix contest, here comes another one!

This time it's Steve Bug's Poker Flat who are seeking out undiscovered remix talent, as part of the label's 20th anniversary celebrations. The tracks that are being offered up for remix are Tim Engelhardt's First Contact, Hannes Bieger's Tephra and the label boss's own Chordwalk Empire

Sign up at the link below to be sent the stems for the track of your choice – note that you can only submit a remix of one track, not all three. Note, too, that all remixes submitted must:

• Be at least three minutes long
• Be supplied in 32-bit WAV form if possible
• Not use any uncleared samples
• Use at least four of the supplied stems.

Poker Flat say they intend to pick "a handful" of remixes for a full release on the label later in the year, but that such releases will be at their discretion, and that "at this moment we can't promise a remuneration".
