HAAi will rule the roost on Saturdays, while Fridays play host to a mouthwatering array of DJ talent

Phonox, the Brixton venue formerly known as Plan B, have just announced their plans for the autumn season, with a new resident on Saturdays, a lorry-load of top-flight guests on Fridays, and the club's first-ever Sunday sessions.

The new Saturday night resident is HAAi, fresh from a two-year stint supplying the tunes at Ridley Road Market Bar in Dalston. Phonox themselves admit she may be a surprise choice, being relatively unknown outside east London, but say: "It is a very conscious decision when enlisting someone for the role of Phonox’s resident, that it not be about the size of their profile but what in our eyes matters most, sheer talent."

You can check out HAAi's genre-defying talents for yourself, with this recording of one of her sets at Dalston Superstore. She will basically be in sole charge of Saturdays at Phonox - there will be guests sometimes, but they'll be unannounced - from 8 October onwards, with current Saturday resident Jasper James making his farewells on 1 October.

Fridays are a different kettle of fish, with an impressive line-up of names set to guest. So many, in fact, that rather than waxing lyrical we're just gonna list them:

9 Sept: Motor City Drum Ensemble
16 Sept: Erol Alkan
23 Sept: Special guest TBA
30 Sept: Dekmantel Soundsystem
7 Oct: Marcellus Pitman & ND_Baumecker
14 Oct: DJ Bone
21 Oct: Tim Sweeney
28 Oct: Pender Street Steppers
4 Nov: Patrick Russell, Jane Fitz
11 Nov: Jonas Rathsman
18 Nov: Benji B
25 Nov: Ivy Lab presents 20/20

Finally, this season also sees Phonox putting on Sunday events for the first time, and they've no shortage of big names on offer there, either! Michael Mayer visits on 6 November, followed by Gilles Peterson on 13 November and Matthew Herbert on 20 November.
