It's only the fifth release from the Brighton-based label
This is Dino Audio’s fifth release, and stepping up to the plate is seasoned UK DJ/producer Paul Sawyer with two cool cuts of electro-tinged house goodness.
The first track is Apollo, which starts with a resounding kick and an arpeggiated synth riff, backed by a smooth bassline and closed hi-hats that give it a very polished feel. As the track progresses, the arpeggiated riff comes in and out of play with quiet whooshes in the background, and there is a large breakdown with hardly any percussion before it all kicks off again very smoothly with a warm, enveloping feel. The second track, Hades, is another super-smooth, polished affair which also features warm tones that play well against the the main synth riff, which is cool and understated for most of the track but does break out towards the end. Both tracks are subtle yet have enough of an edge to drive a dancefloor ever forward and would be perfect for early evening spins in sunnier climes.
I have no doubt that these tracks will still be about in the summer months as they're both perfect summer tunes. My favourite is Apollo because of the arpeggiated riff and bassline that fit together so well, but both are going straight onto my memory stick.
