Greek deep house stalwart makes his debut for the Stockholm-based label

Formerly known as downtempo producer DJ A, with tracks featuring on Buddha Bar and Cafe Del Mar comps, since 2014 Greek producer Andreas Agiannitopoulos has been working under the name Nio March, in which guise he's released a string of deep house/deep tech EPs on respected labels such as Incepto Deep, Spring Tube, Dutchie, SP Records, Perception Records and many more.

Now he comes to Swedish deep house label Oh! Records Stockholm with another fine two-tracker. Walking Dope itself is an unhurried groove centring around a walking bassline and funk geetar licks, which are married to long, lingering pads and barely-there female vocal snips. It comes accompanied by Echoes, which has a techier bassline, piano chords rather than pads and fragments of male rather than female vocal, as well as some nu-disco style synths towards the end.

Walking Dope nudges it over Echoes for me, but both tracks are very playable and neither will do March's burgeoning reputation any harm whatsoever.
