Jamie Jones, Dubfire, Lee Burridge and Psychemagik are among the musical attractions on the island of St Martin
SX Music is a brand new electronic
music festival that's coming to the sunny, French-speaking Caribbean
island of St Martin next spring. The boutique festival will feature
three separate locations - The Forest, The Beach and The Bay -
and organiser Alex Jukes assures us that "accommodation is
wide-ranging and plentiful - from small hotels to grand villas with
palm trees, tennis courts and private beaches."
Hot Creations boss Jamie Jones heads up
the bill. He'll be joined by SCI+TEC main man Dubfire, DJ Tennis from
Life And Death, Thugfucker, Lee Burridge, Diynamic's Adriatique,
Blond:ish, techno provider Francesca Lombardo and disco crate-diggers
Psychemagik. And that's just the starting line-up - expect plenty
more names to be added to the bill before March rolls around.
All the performers are encouraged to
stay for the whole week, creating a true festival-cum-group holiday
vibe, and naturally, given the idyllic tropical setting, keeping the
festival's environmental footprint to a minimum has been a key
priority, with biodiesel generators powering the VOID Acoustics soundsystems and LED lighting.
