Remixes are supplied by Mark Jenkyns and Alvaro AM
Longstanding Ibiza favourite and Wow! Recordings boss MAR-T delivers his first single for Steve Lawler’s ViVa LIMITED, which also features remixes from Alvaro AM and Mark Jenkyns.
First up is You See Me itself, a funky little number with a punchy rolling bassline, messed-up vocal samples and quirky synth sounds that give it a great deal of dancefloor energy. That's followed by fellow Spanish producer Alvaro AM’s remix, whose percussive intro sets the tone nicely for an amped-up version which utilises the same vocal samples but in even more messed-up form, rave stabs and extra percussive elements that give it a busier, enveloping sound.
Next comes Broken Heart, with a drum-laden intro joined by bleeps, vocal snippets and, eventually, a funky bassline. There are various quirky sounds thrown in for good measure and it all bumps along very nicely. Finally you get the Mark Jenkyns Remix, which has a simpler intro with drums and a solid bassline plus a smattering of odd samples dispersed throughout the track, giving it a punchy feel..
There original of You See Me is my pick here, but all four tracks are destined to do damage on many an international dancefloor this summer.
