London's getting another new festival

Waterworks makes its debut on Saturday 22 August

2020 Feb 13

Already confirmed for the first edition are Andrew Weatherall, Ben UFO, Novelist and more

The crowded UK festival calendar gets another new entry in 2020 with the announcement of Waterworks, a new one-dayer focused on electronic music that's taking place at the Lee Valley Waterworks [pictured], on the borders of Walthamstow and Leyton, on Saturday 22 August.

Brought to you by some of the same people that are behind London's Percolate parties and the Love International festival, the event will feature both live acts and DJs. It also has a "no headliners" policy, though there's certainly no shortage of headline names on offer: the first wave line-up has already been announced, and just some of those set to appear include Andrew Weatherall, Ben UFO, Call Super, Craig Richards, Eris Drew, Iration Steppas, Job Jobse, Lukas Wigflex, Mala, Nicolas Lutz, Om Unit, Pearson Sound, Saoirse and Shanti Celeste.

We're getting strong "something for everyone" vibes off that list, so we're looking forward to seeing who's on the Phase 2 line-up, and will tell you as soon as we know! In the meantime, tickets are already available, currently starting at £26+BF.

To get yours, to check out the full line-up or for further information, hit up the festival's own website.
