Chilean duo Leaigna Vibes drop a killer two-tracker that'll delight the real deep house lovers
Sheffield's Delve Deeper hit paydirt here as Chilean duo Leaigna Vibes bring a two-tracker that'll have lovers of proper deep house and (US) garage in raptures.
Come On is up first. Like all the best deep grooves, this is a fairly simple affair, consisting primarily of rolling drums, a warping organ line and a jazzy b-line that's so understated you'll need to listen closely to even notice it, all topped with a spoken male vocal that's distinctly Tyree Cooper-esque in sound and feel, though presumably not actually from the super-duper producer himself given that it's not credited. Either way, Come On is ace but My Soul itself is even better, underpinning lingering, muted chords and treated female "I hear the music, feel the vibe" vox with tuff kicks and warm, chunky bass in a manner that's reminiscent of both classic New Jersey garage and the early 90s Italian deep house it inspired.
Superb stuff that'll go down a storm on underground house floors.
