Black Vinyl drop a summer anthem for the soulful house floors

Releases from Black Vinyl are few and far between these days. But Alan's ear for a tune remains as strong as ever, meaning that when a Black Vinyl release does drop, it's pretty much always gonna be worth checking out.

Germany's King DK is behind the board for this one, some 12 years after releasing his debut single Can't Read Your Mind on Black Vinyl in 2005. In its Original form, the midtempo Coming Home features a wistful female vocal from Claudia Fink, whose "everything is beautiful" refrain is likely to linger in your mind long after the party's over. Said vocal sits atop a backing of rolling, vaguely Afro-sounding drums, lingering piano chords and - eventually, because it doesn't kick in till nearly the two-minute mark - a gorgeously smooth and musical live bassline courtesy of one Patrick Lins. For the dedicated soulful house clubs this has "summer anthem" written all over it, while for everyone and everywhere else it'll make for perfect pool party or warm-up material.

Mix-wise it's accompanied simply by an instrumental and a beatella, so not much more to tell you really.
