Junction 2 Connections will be broadcast from Berlin, Detroit and London
The organisers of London techno festival Junction 2 are to stage a livestreaming event on 9 January. Entitled Connections, the event will last for six hours and feature 20 artists who'll be playing in Berlin, Detroit and London.
Connection builds on the success of J2v, the streaming event that took place this summer in lieu of Junction 2 festival itself, and which attracted over 2.2 million views. It'll use the same multiroom virtual club environment, but a “multiplayer” mode has now been added so you and other friends who are logged on can party together in avatar form. The three stages – The Console, The Hex and The Vault – have also been reimagined especially for Connections.
And the line-up? Oh, only Robert Hood, HAAi, Daniel Avery, Mount Kimbie, Rødhad, Dixon, Ben Klock. Hessle Audio and Ash Lauryn, plus LSDOXO, Peach, Terr and more names that are yet to be announced.
