Remember nightclubs? Otherwise known as 'discotheques', they were places where – during an earlier stage of human history, before the coronavirus pandemic began – young (and not-so-young) people would gather together and dance to recordings of popular songs, seamlessly blended together by professional entertainers known as 'DJs'.
All seems a bit long ago and frankly a tad unlikely now, doesn't it? It's true, though.
And from 19 July, these relics of a bygone age will be back – and at one of the more famous ones in the UK capital London, XOYO, you'll be able to hear one of the more famous of said 'DJs', man known widely as Goldie, doing the seamlessly blending recordings of songs together thing every Friday night for seven weeks in a row.
