2 Bit Thugs

Rising Spanish star Gaol drops a fine two-tracker for the fledgling Induction Muzic label

Spanish producer Gaol is known for his work on Sub_urban Records, but here he comes to another Spanish label, Isaac Indart and Cesar Del Rio's Induction Muzic, who are based in Mallorca and just 16 releases old.

Two tracks make up the SaCa EP, and funnily enough they're called Sa and Ca. Sa is a warm, unhurried cut that's probably best suited to warm-up or post-club play, as hefty but muted kicks and a throbbing but understated bassline combine with delicate, toppy percussion and assorted keyboard licks to create a simple head-noddin' groove. Ca, on the other hand, opts for a more dancefloor-centric approach, and has something of a deep garage feel (and a very cool rolling bassline).

If you're not a deep house fan already, this EP probably won't cause any scales-falling-from-eyes moments. But if you are, and you're fiending for some of that real-deal goodness, then Gaol will see you right with these two.
