There's something for all musical tastes over the course of two weekends in April
Following the announcement just before
New Year that LCD Soundsystem are reforming to play this year's
Coachella festival, the full line-up for the festival, which takes
place in Indio, California on 15-17 and 22-24 April, has now been
announced.
Friday 15 and Friday 22 April will see
appearances by the aforeseaid LCD Soundsystem, as well as Jack U,
M83, Underworld, St Germain, 2manydjs, Marco Carola, Black Coffee,
Nic Fanciulli, Skepta and DJ EZ - not to mention a host of rock, pop
and indie talent including The Kills, Foals, Ellie Goulding, Health,
Savages and Sufjan Stevens and many more.
On Saturday 16 and Saturday 23 April,
visitors to the festival - now in its 17th year - can expect to be
entertained by, among others, Ice Cube, Disclosure, Zedd, A$AP Rocky,
Run The Jewels, Justin Martin, AlunaGeorge, Matthew Dear, Nina
Kraviz, Amine Edge & Dance and The Black Madonna, as well as Guns
N' Roses, CHVRCHES, James Bay, Courtney Barnett and Silversun
Pickups.
Finally, the two Sundays (17 and 24)
will play host to Calvin Harris, Major Lazer, Maceo Plex, Adam Beyer,
Crystal Fighters, Young Fathers, Hudson Mohawke and Soul Clap, as well as
Sia, Beach House, The 1975, Rancid and Cold War Kids.
That's
quite an impressive line-up, we're sure you'll agree. Mind you, with
tickets starting at $399, with hefty surcharges for camping and
parking, it kinda needs to be! Tickets go on sale tomorrow (6
January) at 11am PST, which is 7pm in the UK.
For
the full line-up, more information and to buy tickets, see the
Coachella website.
