The Dutch producer comes to Joris Voorn's label

An all-Dutch affair here, as Franky Rizardo makes his first appearance (as far as I can tell, anyway) on Joris Voorn and Edwin Oosterval's Rejected label.

It's a single-track affair. Revoke starts with a full minute of looping, toppy percussion and a bassline that could almost be playing in the next room, before suddenly bursting into life as Rizardo reaches into the Classic House & Garage cupboard and pulls out the box marked "nagging New Jersey-style organ riffs". At which point, it's game over for this reviewer!

Unlike a lot of Rizardo's work, this doesn't have the marketing might of Defected behind it, so it may well not go on to become one of his biggest tunes... but it's up there with his best for sure, a pleasingly understated little roller that'll work on older and younger floors alike.
