Support comes from a veritable Who's Who of the drum & bass world
DJs don't come much more influential than Fabio & Grooverider. Cutting their teeth on the nascent acid house and rave scene of the late 80s/early 90s, the two swiftly found themselves at the forefront of the emerging sound known first as jungle techno, then jungle, then drum & bass. And, from Rage to Radio 1 via Speed, Prototype, Swerve and Creative Source, they've been there ever since.
It's fair to say that without these two, the UK's musical landscape could have evolved very differently. And now, to mark a quarter-century since D&B first emerged as a genre, they're throwing a 25th birthday party at Electric Brixton.
Joining them in dishing out the jelly and ice-cream* on 3 February will be a pretty stunning array of DJ talent, with Matrix & Futurebound, DC Breaks B2B Cyantific, Dillinja B2B Mampi Swift, Drumsound & Bassline Smith, Krust B2B Bryan G and Uncle Duggs B2B Serial Killaz. MC duties, meanwhile, will be taken care of by Dynamite MC, Ayah Marar, Felon and Five Alive.
That's a killer line-up, we're sure you'll agree! The event runs from 10pm till 6am, and if you want to get yourself along then tickets are available now, starting at £15. Click here to get yours.
*We can't promise there'll be any ACTUAL jelly and ice-cream, but you never know.
