Hybrid, Nick Warren and Copy Paste Soul are also on the bill at the 02 Academy

On 1 May, Bristol's long-running progressive, tech and tribal house night Empathy - a crew of party people with whom Team iDJ have a long history - will be celebrating their 15th birthday by taking over the 02 Academy. And to help them mark the occasion, they've drafted in no less a personage than John Digweed, who'll be playing his first DJ set in Bristol for over 20 years.

Joining Diggers in Academy 1 will be another prog legend, local hero Nick Warren of Way Out West, as well as Intec and Gruuv artist Copy Paste Soul, AKA former Empathy resident Jim Rivers. In Academy 2, Distinctive's prog-breaks veterans Hybrid headline, ably supported by Empathy main man Stuart Wilkinson plus Andy Newland & Warren Moody, Whomp DJs, Matt Owen and Andy Price. Downstairs, meanwhile, more eclectic sounds will be supplied by Jay Massive, Roland Gregory, Dave Kirik and, last but by no means least, iDJ's very own Matt Anniss in his Sell-By Dave guise.

Early bird tickets at just £10 are still available, rising to £12.50 and then £15. For further information, find Empathy on Twitter and Facebook.
