iDJ is delighted to bring you this stunning new track from rising Bristolian boutique label Falk
It's Christmas Eve, so we thought it
only appropriate to offer you a little Christmas present from us, in
the form of this exclusive free download from up-and-coming Bristol
label Falk Recordings, genre-defying purveyors of all things deep and
esoteric.
I'm Free is, we're told, the work of
a very well-known house producer who's adopted the alias
ATOMS for this release, and who's joined by Leo Wood on mic duties.
Fans of the vocal stylings of Florence or London Grammar will, we
think, particularly enjoy this one, with Ms Wood's haunting voice
sitting atop a fragile musical backdrop with minor-key piano chords
as its backbone.
Bristol's long been known for mixing up
styles and pushing genre boundaries, and this beautiful piece of
music, which is as likely to appeal to deep house lovers as to Burial
fans, will do certainly nothing to tarnish the city's musical
reputation. Enjoy - and have a very happy Christmas from us!
