Things kick off on 7 September, with the winner announced on 30 November
With this year's DMC World DJ Championships unable to go ahead in the normal way due to the coronavirus, the organisers have been hard at work figuring out how the competition can go ahead in virtual fashion. And now, they've revealed their plans.
Things get underway on 7 September, when the DMC World DJ Championships 2020 website will be launched, complete with a 'practice room' where hopefuls can upload one-minute video clips of their sets. The site will then begin accepting full-length set submissions for the various National Championships on 16 September, with the National Championships launch proper happening on 23 September.
By 28 October the National Champs will have been completed, and all winners announced. Next comes the World DJ Eliminations stage on 4 November; two weeks later on 18 November, the World Elimination results will be posted on the website and the World DJ Finalists announced.
Those finalists will then have one week to submit their World Final sets, all of which will be streamed on the site from 25 November, with the winner announced on the 30th.
