The 'XRarchives Vol 1' EP is available now, with four more tracks to follow every two months
Wolfskuil Records boss Darko Esser has made four unreleased tracks from his personal archive available for paid download, with all proceeds going to climate change protest group Extinction Rebellion (XR).
What's more, the Dutch house and techno DJ/producer has announced that he'll be releasing four more tracks this way, and in aid of the same cause, every two months for the foreseeable future.
Announcing the move, Esser said:
"I’m happy to announce the release of the first volume of what I’ve dubbed the XRchives series. A careful selection of music from my archives that (in my opinion) withstood the test of time. Digitally mastered by yours truly and ready for playing out. 100% of the proceeds will be donated to Extinction Rebellion, aka XR.
"It seemed like a waste never to share these tunes," the statement continues. "You can look at it as a form of recycling. From a selfish standpoint, it helps me with my feelings of guilt and powerlessness to try and help people who are way more courageous than me in their noble fight to save us from extinction."
