Track features a vocal from fellow Londoner Bayku and is already riding high on Beatport
Charlie Hedges is one busy DJ. She currently has four radio shows and podcasts to her name, which is quite mind-numbing when you think about it, so where she finds the time to produce hit tracks is a bit of a mystery! But find time she does and this, her most recent offering, is already in the Beatport house Top 20.
Hit It features vocals by Bayku and is a deep/tech-house cut that starts with a vocal loop, which heads into a dubby bassline with swung percussion and loads of random sounds that are carefully ordered so as to not to sound out of place. Together, they make Hit It a sure-fire floorfiller. The lyrics use a number of expletives, though, so it's definitely not one for daytime radio, where Charlie holds down one of her shows.
In an industry where male DJs still dominate it's good to see a female producer doing so well, and as this is just the first of a number of tracks Hedges has lined up for 2017, things are looking good for the future. This track will make a club go off for sure, so check it!
