This year's Conference will be taking place on 1-2 October

The organisers of Brighton Music Conference have announced that this year's event – originally scheduled for April, but postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic – will now go ahead on 1-2 October. It'll just be happening virtually.

“To say the team here at BMC are totally gutted after we got the news on Monday about the new restrictions would be an understatement to say the least,” they said in a statement. “It's been a tough few days! But we are still committed to delivering a great conference programme with some of the biggest names in the industry, and despite all the hurdles we have had to overcome over the last six months.”

Brighton Music Conference will still feature the usual programme of panel discussions, Q&As, workshops and DJ tutorials – all now staged virtually, and streamed both live and on-demand – while the night-time parties that are usually such a big part of the BMC experience will be replaced by live-streamed DJ sets.

Confirmed artists and speakers include Carl Cox, Colin Dale, Darius Syrossian, DJ Paulette, DJ Rap, East End Dubs, Graeme Park, Jumpin' Jack Frost, Krafty Kuts, Nicole Moudaber, Fatboy Slim, Serge Santiago, Sister Bliss, Stanton Warriors and Waze & Odyssey, while also taking part will be representatives from the likes of Beatport, Funktion-One, PRS For Music, Ultra Music, Help Musicians UK and many more.

The full conference programme can be viewed on BMC's own website.

If all that has whetted your appetite, then a BMC Pass will set you back £25 plus booking fee – again, hit up the BMC website to get yours. Note that all existing BMC 2020 ticket holders will automatically be granted virtual access to this year's conference, in addition to their tickets also being valid for the 2021 event.
