The rest of the line-up is still to be announced
Felix Buxton and Simon Ratcliffe, better known to the world at large as Basement Jaxx, have been announced as headliners for the inaugural Party At The Races.
The new one-day dance festival, which promises "a mix of daytime dancing and night-time clubbing", takes place on 1 October at Brighton's historic racecourse - famous as the setting for Graham Greene's classic novel Brighton Rock and its two film adaptations.
Basement Jaxx are the only act to be named so far, but with three stages there are plenty more announcements to come. We're told to expect "the biggest acts from around the world" on the Main Stage, live acts on the Terrace and and "quality DJs and deep house" on the Grandstand stage. Tickets for the festival are on sale now, priced just £25, with various VIP packages available. There's free car parking, and a free shuttle bus from Brighton station.
