Tony Humphries

2 Bit Thugs

Veteran New Jersey DJ whose career goes all the way back to the disco era. He is most famous for his residency at Club Zanzibar in Newark, where his uplifting, vocal-heavy and gospel-tinged style was at least as big an influence in shaping the sound that would become known as 'garage' as the music played by Larry Levan at Paradise Garage around the same time. During the late 90s and 00s, Humphries also owned and ran the Yellorange label.
