…though the string of one-off live events they had planned has been called off

Anjunabeats, Above & Beyond's trance and progressive house label and party brand, is 20 years old in 2020. They had planned to mark the occasion with a series of one-off live events around the world, but with those now postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic, they've just announced their alternative birthday plans.

The headline news is label bosses Above & Beyond's Club Mixes album, which has just been released and which features the full-length club mixes of 15 favourites from their back catalogue, starting with 2006's Alone Tonight.

There will also be a new volume (the 15th) of the trio's Anjunabeats mix album series coming later in the summer. But before that, Jon, Tony and Paavo have invited a select few friends to put together their own mixes featuring their favourite Anjunabeats tracks, which they'll then release to the public every two weeks. The first mix in the series comes from Oliver Smith, and will be available to stream from Thursday.

Finally, a series of six limited-edition T-shirts featuring classic Anjunabeats album sleeves – Tri-State, Group Therapy, We Are All We Need, Common Ground and Flow State by Above & Beyond themselves, and Sirens Of The Sea by Ocean Lab – have also just gone on sale.

For more on all the above, see Anjunabeats' own website.
