Italian producer Adapter comes to Mother's sister label
Superfett Records is the sister label to Mother Recordings, and this two-track release comes from Adapter, who has previously appeared on the likes of Hot Creations, Snatch! and Stereo Productions.
Jammin' itself starts with a percussion loop then grows in intensity, with a riser and pad taking you to the arrival of the female vocal sample, which is cut up and backed with sci-fi sounds. The track chugs away nicely in an underground kinda way until he gives us the full sample, which is very effective over a sparse, tribal backing with drum shots and other sound effects.
That's followed by the larger than life Inside, which uses a more recognisable female vocal sample, and more of it. It starts with a loud, swung drum loop, then adds turntable backspins and a distorted bassline that drive the track along until the vocals arrive, backed by a one-note string line, piano stabs and supersized risers. The whole track is louder and bolder and has more sci-fi noises, and in my opinion is better equipped to elicit a positive reaction from a club crowd.
But while Inside may be the stronger of the two tracks, both are proper firecrackers, so check it out yourself!
