The EP for Cox and Coe's label contains three quality live techno cuts

Live techno artist Saytek delivers another smoking hot release on Carl Cox and Christopher Coe’s Awesome Soundwave, the label they set up specifically for live techno artists. Saytek (AKA Joseph Keevill) has skyrocketed to become one of the electronic music scene’s most in-demand live acts. With a list of gigs at some of Europe's finest techno clubs under his belt, and support from the likes of Danny Rampling and of course Carl Cox, he can’t do much wrong at present.

First up is Easy Influenced (Live), which starts with a thudding kick that's joined by a bass synth and further percussion, then slowly builds to the introduction of many electroid sounds which all fit together like a well-engineered machine that makes a very pleasant cacophony, A fine opener to this pristinely crafted live EP. The next track, Last Night (Live), has a throbbing acidic bassline and “last night” repeated over and over, alongside an added acid line that really soars and lifts the track immensely before the track takes on a mellower feel towards the end, which works a treat. Finally you have Finisher (Live), which which has a fast, frenetic feel from the off and is darkened by ominous synth sounds which come at you at a ferocious pace and give the track a lot of impact.

All three tracks are good enough to be a lead track, and the fact that he plays them live at gigs is a massive bonus for all his fans.
