The single-track release is out today
Today's exclusive track premiere is a sweet slice of two-step garage coming to you courtesy of alt-pop siren Psyrena and Leeds-based producer Blakk Habit, who's remixed Psyrena's latest offering Ring Ring Ring. It's out today via AWAL (A World Artists Love).
Known in real life as Madeleine Wise, Psyrena is a musician, animator and visual artist whose quirky, leftfield electronic pop has been compared to the likes of Robyn, Goldfrapp and Gorillaz. Her tracks have been played on BBC Radio 1, 1Xtra, Rinse FM and Ministry Of Sound and, along with creative partner Yak Bondy and composer Hélène Muddiman, she co-wrote the soundtrack for 2016 film Bliss.
If any of that sounds familiar, it's because Psyrena is no stranger to iDJ. Regular readers may remember we also premiered her track Rainbows & Unicorns back in June. That track came with a UK garage remix from Blakk Habit, and now he's repeated the trick, giving Ring Ring Ring a two-step makeover that'll take some of you right back to the early 00s.
