The EP also includes tracks from Ki Creighton, DeMarzo, MANT and Luuk Van Dijk
Our first track premiere this week comes from German duo 8281. One On One is taken from the various artists EP Selector Part 6, which is out this Friday on Yousef's Circus Recordings label.
8281 don't give too much away about themselves - all we can tell you is that they're from Cologne and Düsseldorf, came together in 2012 and have had releases on Desolat and Style Rockets. They do tell us, however, that "for us, it is an honour to feature alongside such great acts on a fantastic compilation, and especially to be a part of this great label where previously acts like Green Velvet and Hot Since 82 have released".
As for the Selector Part 6 EP itself, it's the latest installment in a series that sees the label boss curating a selection of tracks that have been working in his recent club sets, and elsewhere on the EP you can find cuts from Ki Creighton, London duo MANT, Amsterdam-based producer Luuk Van Dijk and London's DeMarzo. But the track that caught our ear the most was this breezily rolling lil' tech-houser, with its incessant bassy groove, looping male vocal snip and wibbly synth topline.
See what you think...
