Detroit festival Movement's little Euro sister is now in its 12th year

The first names have been announced for this year's Movement Europe festival, which takes place in Turin on 25-31 October, with numerous small parties over the course of the week and two large-scale events at Lingotto on 28 and 31 October.

Movement Europe, also known as Movement Torino Electronic Music Festival, is the European sister to Detroit's Movement Festival, and has been running annually since 2006. This year's festival is set to be the biggest yet (hence the TWO big showcases, rather than the usual one) and while there are plenty of names still TBA, even the first wave of artists is looking pretty tasty.

Representing the Motor City itself you'll find Derrick May, Jeff Mills and Octave One, while also set to appear are (in alphabetical order): Apollonia, Ben Sims b2b DVS1, Cobblestone Jazz (live), Chris Liebing, Davide Squillace, Len Faki, Lil’ Louis, Luciano, Luigi Madonna, Marco Faraone, Mike Huckaby, Monika Kruse, Nastia, Nic Fanciulli, Nicole Moudaber, Patrick Topping, RPR Soundsystem, Sonja Moonear and Sven Väth.

We'll bring you details of further line-up announcements as and when they're made; in the meantime, hit up the festival's own website for further info.
