2 Bit Thugs

Spanish pair serve up two headnoddin' gems on Cesar Del Rio and Isaac Indart's label

Kailasa is a Spanish DJ who hails from Palma De Mallorca, while GMC is his fellow countryman Guillermo Morro, and together they deliver two cool, rolling deep house grooves on Cesar Del Rio & Isaac Indart's Induction Muzic label.

Up first, aptly enough, is Beginning, which chugs along at a healthy 124bpm with muted piano chords used to form a main, rhythmical hook while all manner of synth atmospherics flutter away at the top end. Ready to slot neatly into deep and melodic/prog sets alike, it's a track built to close your eyes and lose yourself in during the wee small hours. The accompanying Blatt operates in not dissimilar territory, but here it's organ chords that provide the track's nagging central pulse while space-y synths rumble away underneath. It's a little dubbier than the A-side and hence perhaps one for earlier/later play, but every bit as good.

Both Kailasa & GMC are, we're told, relative newcomers to production, which makes the quality on display here all the more impressive. More soon, please!
