IMS College Malta 2017 takes place on 7-9 July
More details have been made public of this year's IMS College, the educational spin-off from music industry conference IMS Ibiza which returns to Malta for its second year on 7-9 July.
We told you previously that artists performing at the night-time parties would include Sven Väth, Technasia and Agoria. It's now been confirmed that all three will be taking part in the College's day-time activities, too. Väth will be the star of a special keynote interview, while Agoria will host a production masterclass and Technasia will present a keynote address. More artists have also been added to the night-time performance roster, including Uner and Mia Amare.
Meanwhile, the first industry speakers for the event have also been announced. These include Renaat Vandepapeliere from R&S Records, Mark Brown from Cr2, Stuart Knight from Toolroom Academy and Mobilee co-founder Ralf Kollmann, as well as representatives from the likes of Point Blank, Beatport, International Music Summit and Berklee College of Music. Interestingly, the latter will be represented by Spanish house producer Nacho Marco, who is now also a Professor of Music Production, Technology and Innovation for the College in Spain, while among several representatives from Point Blank will be Ski Oakenfull - currently Content Development Manager for the DJ and production school, but perhaps also known to iDJ readers for his keyboard work with the likes of Galliano, Raw Stylus, The K-Creative, Two Banks Of Four and Earl Zinger.
If all that sounds interesting, then passes are still available, priced £70 for admission to both days of the College and all three nights' parties. To get yours, visit the IMS website.
