Sadly that's about as much as the high-end audio equipment brand have decided to reveal for now!
Richie
Hawtin has announced at a press conference at NAMM - the annual
musical equipment trade show that's taking place this week in
Anaheim, California - that he's done a deal with Allen & Heath
and its parent company Audiotronix to create a new instrument.
Details
of the instrument are yet to be forthcoming, but we can tell you that
it will form part of a new range called Play Differently, which
according to The Artist Sometimes Known As Plastickman is all about
“products that will magnify the individuality and expand the
creativity of today's electronic music artists, producers and DJs.”
There's
already a Play Differently website,
but it's almost as sparse and minimal as one of Hawtin's late-00s
productions so anyone thirsting for news may do well to keep an eye
on the Allen & Heath site as well.
More
details when we have them.
