'Black Synth' is the title track from Veron's forthcoming EP, out on 26 November
Our second track premiere this week comes from German producer Chris Veron. Black Synth is the title track from his forthcoming EP for Luxembourg-based label Lauter Unfug Musik, which is out on 26 November.
Chris Veron hails from Freiburg im Breisgau in Germany, and has been DJing since the mid-90s. He's been resident at the city's Drifters club for seven years, and has more recently also taken up a residency at new club Location Klangraum, where he's played alongside the likes of Claptone and Edu Imbernon. He only made the leap into production a few short years ago, but his studio output has since graced labels such as Sweden's Yellow Recordings and Munich's Treibjagd Records.
As you'll hear below, Black Synth is a dark, chunky houser sitting right on the prog-tech cusp, with dancefloor energy to spare. It's accompanied on the full release by an even darker tech-house remix by label co-owner Riven and a deeper pass from Stil Vor Talent's Several Definitions, while the hypnotic Starflight and deep, groovy White Shadow complete the EP.
